Surrey Police Authority consists of 17 Members. Nine of the Members are County Councillors, elected to Surrey County Council, and appointed by the Council to reflect the political balance of the parties on the County Council.

Three of our Members are serving Surrey Magistrate Members appointed by a Panel of fellow Magistrates and the remaining five are Independent Members appointed by the Councillor and Magistrate Members as well as a representative from the Home Office.
